Tips & Tricks
When the craving for pizza strikes the family, it’s hard to deny the urge to eat melted cheese on a toasted crust. Cooking a pizza at home is a great way to save money, experiment with gluten-free recipes, or just get the perfect combination of toppings. There’s far more than just one way to cook pizzas at home. No matter what kind of appliances you have available, there’s likely a way to cook a fresh or frozen pizza with it.
It’s almost summertime, which means time to tend the lawn. Lawn care can be relatively basic and low maintenance, but even the healthiest of lawns can use a little extra TLC. Whatever your lawn situation is, there may come a time when it needs a little extra help to grow that brilliant lush green grass.
It’s not uncommon to get a tear or rip in your vinyl pool liner. Left unrepaired, this can cause extensive leaking and damage to your deck or backyard. Luckily, it’s easy to prevent these problems. Use these steps to seal up any holes in your pool so it will be as good as new.
Harold and Helen Juergens opened a used furniture store in downtown Huntington and by 1950, they were selling paint, wallpaper, and Venetian blinds. Harold was known as "The Color Blind Man", as he sold blinds in a variety of colors, which was a new trend of the time. When their son George joined the business, they expanded into hardware and moved locations several times, even operating two locations in town for a while. In the 1990’s, after Dan, George's son, joined the business, they moved the store to its current location, north of town. In 2015, Herald and Helen’s great-grandson, Brandon Juergens, joined the family business. As one of the oldest family-owned retailers in town, the Juergens Family looks forward to continuing to find new ways to serve the Huntington Community.
